Questions brides ask
The things worth knowing before the morning itself. Anything else — send it over.
Do you travel to me on the wedding morning?
Yes. Mita is based in North London and travels to your home, hotel or venue across Greater London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. Travel is quoted with your booking so there is nothing added afterwards.
How long does bridal makeup take?
Allow about 60 to 75 minutes for the bride and 30 to 45 minutes for each additional person. Mita builds the morning schedule backwards from your photographer’s arrival so you are ready with time to spare.
Do I need a trial before the wedding?
A trial is recommended for brides. It usually takes around 90 minutes, and it is where the look is agreed, the products are matched to your skin and the timings for the day are planned.
How far in advance should I book?
Summer Saturdays are typically taken six to twelve months ahead. If your date is close, it is still worth asking — cancellations and midweek dates come up.
Will my makeup last all day?
Yes. Every booking starts with skin preparation and finishes with a long-wear, camera-tested setting routine. Brides are also given a small touch-up kit for the day.
Do you work with darker skin tones and mature skin?
Yes. Mita trained at the Academy of Freelance Makeup in 2018 specifically across diverse skin tones and textures, and her kit carries a full shade range.
Can I learn to do my own makeup instead?
Yes. Mita holds a formal teaching qualification and runs one-to-one lessons, group masterclasses and a two-session bridal self-application course, taught with the products you already own.
